Meeting of the Academic Council

On June 24, the regular meeting of the Academic Council took place at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

The agenda included two main issues:

• On the implementation of decisions of the Academic Council for the 2015 – 2016 academic year. Discussion and recommendation for approval of the workplan of the Academic Council on the 2016 – 2017 academic year.
• Competitive affairs.
• Others.

The Scientific Secretary Galyna P. Shuka made a report on the implementation of decisions of the Academic Council for the 2015 – 2016 academic year, discussion and recommendations for approval of the workplan of the Academic Council on the 2016 – 2017 academic yea. She noted that the decisions of the Academic Council carried out at a high level and in a timely manner.

The Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work Dmytro V. Uzhchenko told about the competitive affairs. So, Ph.D. Olena Y. Moiseenko ran for the post of Professor of the Department of Theory and Practice of Translation. Doctor of Biological Sciences Ivan O. Ivanyura ran for the post of Professor of the Department of Anatomy and Physiology of Human and Animals. Doctor of Philological Sciences Oleksandr A. Galych ran for the post of Professor of the Ukrainian Literature Department. All candidates were elected by secret ballot.

Among Others the participants examined the question of the approval of the master’s theses and recommendations for publication of the scientific-practical handbook.
