Guest Lecture by Professor Vitalii Sheiko

A guest lecture by Professor Vitalii Sheiko on the topic “Neotonia of the Human Nervous System” was held at the ER INAS.

On November 7, 2025, a guest lecture by VitaliI SHEIKO, Professor of the Department of General Biology and Methods of Teaching Natural Sciences of the Volodymyr Hnatyuk Ternopil National Pedagogical University, was held at the Educational and Research Institute of Natural and Agrarian Sciences on the topic “Neotonia of the Human Nervous System”.

The event brought together applicants and teachers of all specialties of the institute. During the meeting, the professor revealed the evolutionary aspects of the development of the human nervous system, in particular the phenomenon of neotonia – the preservation in an adult organism of features inherent in the early stages of ontogenesis. The lecture examined in detail the morphophysiological features of neotonia, its role in the formation of cognitive functions, brain plasticity, and human adaptive capabilities.

Students and teachers of the institute received the scientific material with great interest, asked questions about modern approaches to the study of evolutionary processes in human biology.
