Lecture on Modern Possibilities of Digital Technologies

A lecture on the modern possibilities of digital technologies was held for students at the ER INAS. 

On November 7, students of the ER INAS had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of modern digital technologies that shape learning, work, and life in the 21st century.

A meaningful and informative lecture on the topic: “Modern Information Technologies: Trends, Tools, Prospects” was held by Mykola SEMENOV, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Master of Software Engineering, Head of the Department of Information Technologies and Systems, Head of the Information Technologies Center.

During the event, the students got acquainted with the evolution of digital technologies, the capabilities of cloud services for learning and collaboration – GoogleWorkspace, Notion, Canva, Trello; they learned about the functions of modern office programs and the principles of their effective use.

Special attention was paid to the topic of effective information search on the Internet: the correct formulation of queries, the use of filters, logical operators, as well as assessing the reliability of online resources.

The participants followed the development of search engines — from the first to the most modern ones based on artificial intelligence technologies, and got acquainted with informal education platforms: Coursera, Prometheus, EdEra, LinkedInLearning.

The discussion also addressed the issues of using artificial intelligence, the development of augmented and virtual reality, as well as the skills of the future that will become key in the digital society.

The final emphasis was on the awareness of the importance of maintaining balance in the digital space — the ability to use technologies consciously, responsibly and with benefit for one’s own development.

The lecture was held in an interactive format — with elements of dialogue and discussion, which contributed to an active exchange of views and practical advice.
