An unusual exhibition was presented at the Starobilsk Professional College, which combined history, art, and finance in a single space.
An exhibition was held at the Starobilsk Professional College of LTSNU, which united history, art, and finance in a single space. “History Engraved in Metal. Exhibition of Commemorative and Jubilee Coins of Ukraine and the World” was organized by employees of the Lubny Center for Children and Youth Creativity of Students.
The organizers of the event at the college were the head of the “Special Historical Disciplines” group, Ilia Lysenko, and the director of the institution, Serhii Lysenko. They initiated the exhibition in order to interest young people in the study of historical facts through material evidence of time — commemorative and jubilee coins. The exhibition entitled “History Engraved in Metal” gave students the opportunity to rethink the past through the prism of numismatics.
During the event, visitors viewed coins dedicated to significant events, famous figures, and cultural heritage of Ukraine and the world. Each exhibit had its own history — from the appearance of the first Ukrainian hryvnias to modern coins created in honor of today’s heroes.
A separate part of the exhibition was dedicated to military-themed coins. They remind of our state’s struggle for independence and have become symbols of invincibility, dignity, and gratitude to the defenders of Ukraine.
The event aroused sincere interest among students and college employees. For many, it was not just an introduction to numismatics, but a real journey through time, helping to realize the importance of historical memory in the formation of modern Ukrainian identity.
