Participation in the Plenary Session of the International Scientific and Practical Conference

The Head of the Department of Literary Studies, Oriental Philology, and Translation Olha Kryzhanovska, took part in the plenary session of the international scientific and practical Conference.

On November 6, 2025, the Head of the Department of Literary Studies, Oriental Philology, and Translation, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Olha Kryzhanovska, took part in the plenary session of the III International Scientific and Practical Conference «Literature, Psychology, Pedagogy in the Aspects of Interaction.”

The conference, co-organized by the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology and Journalism of the Taras Shevchenko Luhansk National University, served as a powerful interdisciplinary platform. It united scholars and learners to discuss contemporary approaches at the intersection of humanities.

Participants, including the Director of the Institute, Professor Viktoriia Dmytrenko, Associate Professor Svitlana Shpetna, Senior Lecturer Olha Kirichenko, as well as master’s and postgraduate students, focused on key issues: psychologism in literary texts, psychological aspects of modern educational effectiveness, theory and practice of discourse (linguistic, humanitarian, and social vectors of development).

Dr. Olha Kryzhanovska delivered a report on the topic: «The Psychologism of Yevhen Pluzhnyk’s Poetic World». In her presentation, she emphasized that the work of this prominent representative of the Executed Renaissance is a unique example of existential psychologism. Dr. Kryzhanovska detailed how the poet’s psychologism is revealed through a system of artistic markers: National Consciousness: Allegiance to Taras Shevchenko’s precepts as an ethical guideline, Sacrifice and Resurrection: Philosophical understanding of the price of freedom, Death and Mundanity: The tragedy of the era in the context of daily life, Love as Protection: The role of intimate lyricism as a source of internal resilience against a cruel world.

The Head of Department’s participation in such a high-level international event confirms the leadership position of the Department of Literary Studies, Oriental Philology, and Translation in implementing integrated research approaches.

The experience gained and the innovative methods discussed at the conference (particularly regarding the psychological analysis of texts and the use of literature as a therapeutic tool) will be integrated into the curriculum and research work of the department. This event actively promotes international cooperation and enhances the academic mobility of our university’s faculty.
