All-Ukrainian Radio Dictation of National Unity – 2025

Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University joined the writing of the All-Ukrainian Radio Dictation of National Unity – 2025.

On October 27, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University traditionally joined the writing of the All-Ukrainian Radio Dictation of National Unity, dedicated to the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language.

This year’s text under the symbolic title “We Must Live!” was written by writer and translator Yevheniia Kuznetsova. The dictation was read live from the Ukrainian Radio studio by People’s Artist of Ukraine, actress Natalia Sumska.

Before the beginning of the radio dictation, the rector of the university, Olena Karaman, addressed the participants. She emphasized that this day is not just a linguistic event, but a symbol of unity, invincibility and love for the native language.

“Every written word is a manifestation of national dignity, memory and strength. The Ukrainian language sounds confident, proud and inspired – like the voice of our state. So let today’s dictation become another proof that we are together, we are strong, we are Ukrainians! ”, — noted Olena Karaman.

The participants including teachers and students of the university came in embroidered shirts, which gave the event a special solemnity and warm patriotic spirit.

Immediately after writing the dictation, a lively discussion took place: the participants shared their impressions of the text, its content, emotionality, remembered unfamiliar words, drew attention to reading skills. Many noted that this year’s dictation was not only a test of literacy, but above all — a test of love for language and a sense of unity.

The university educators unanimously emphasized: “The radio dictation is not about mistakes. It is about unity. Its main goal is to remind us that we are one people, one language, one country.”

We are convinced that radio dictation is a thread that weaves our voices into one, protecting the soul of the nation through every written word.

We were together. And this is the main thing!
