Panel Discussion of Students and Stakeholders
15.10.2025
The Psychology Department organized a panel discussion for students and stakeholders of the ER IPP.
On October 13, on the occasion of the International Day of the Girl (October 11), the Psychology Department of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University organized a panel discussion for students of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology: “For ALL women and girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment” (the theme was announced by the United Nations).
The panel discussion invited stakeholder Alna Bursak, CBDO – chief business development officer, and Kateryna Kalika (Zakharchenko), a second (master’s) level student in Psychology, Miss Ukraine 2010. Representatives of the Directorate of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology also attended the meeting. The invited speakers shared their own experiences and discussed in detail the issue of empowering modern girls and women.
In particular, the panel discussion thoroughly examined both the factors that contribute to the personal and career growth of girls and women, and those that may hinder the aforementioned processes.
Women’s rights are not a privilege, but an integral part of general human rights. This is the right to education, work, freedom of choice, security and a dignified life. Unfortunately, historically, women have fought for these rights for a long time. In Ukraine, this process continues successfully today.
Empowering women is not only a task for the state or individual organizations. It is the business of each of us. Every student can become an agent of change!
The university is a place where the foundations of the future are laid. Here we learn not only professional knowledge, but also respect for others, tolerance and understanding of the importance of equality.
