International Conference “Leaders in Media”

Representatives of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University joined the international conference “Leaders in Media”.
On October 11, the marketing team of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University including Yevheniia Kulyk, Tetiana Demianchuk, and Kamila Chernyshova at the invitation of the Women in Media organization joined the online broadcast of the international conference “Leaders in Media”.
The event was organized by the NGO “Women in Media” in cooperation with the European Center for Press and Media Freedom (ECPMF) with the support of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany within the framework of the Civil Society Cooperation program.
Specialists of the Marketing Department of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University took part in:
- Workshop: “Basics of using AI tools when checking and collecting information and a gender-specific component”;
- Panel discussion: “Leadership of the future: women in the media and new rules of the game”.
The participants discussed current trends in the digital transformation of journalism, the role of women in the development of media leadership, as well as new rules of information ethics in a world where artificial intelligence is becoming part of editorial processes.
During the workshop, the university team got acquainted with practical tools that help work in the conditions of new digital challenges, in particular:
- AI-based information aggregators about individuals;
- AI-generated image search and verification services;
- Fake account detection tools;
- Media and social media publication monitoring systems.
Such technologies help not only to improve the quality of journalistic and marketing research, but also strengthen information security in the online space.
