University Reading Meme Contest

Recently, the library of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University hosted an award ceremony for the winners and participants of the reading meme contest dedicated to the All-Ukrainian Library Day.

The event was organized with the support of the Primary Trade Union Organization of the university and its chairman Volodymyr MOROZ. The event brought together students, teachers and library staff, who approached the popularization of books and reading with humor and creativity.

The participants of the competition presented original memes, in which they humorously reflected the modern challenges and joys of reading – from student life to sleepless nights with a book.

The winners also received memorable gifts, and all those present were treated to warm tea and sweets, which created a particularly cozy, friendly atmosphere.

“Laughter and reading have a lot in common – both help us see the world brighter,” said the leading librarian Oksana Shevchyk.

Such events at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University not only develop students’ creative thinking, but also form a positive attitude towards books, libraries and the culture of reading.

They help create a modern image of the library as a space of ideas, creativity and youth initiative.

The reading meme contest proved that even in the digital age, books remain a source of inspiration, and young people are the driving force behind the university’s new cultural traditions.
