State Certification

On June 13, the state certification began at the Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Social Communication.

State examinations are the traditional form of verification of theoretical knowledge and practical skills of students in order to determine the actual compliance with the requirements of studied competencies of higher education standards.

In general, master students of IV and V courses will be certified.

During certification, the fourth year students of specialties “Ukrainian Language and Literature”, “Ukrainian language and literature. Language and Literature (Russian)”, “Ukrainian language and literature. Language and Literature (English)” will pass a comprehensive examination in special subjects. The students of specialty “Publishing and Editing”, “Advertising and Public Relations” and “Journalism”, will defend the baccalaureate works in addition to comprehensive examinations on special subjects.

The state certification for the fifth year students provides a comprehensive examination in special subjects, specialization exam and theses defense.

The defense of master’s theses is provided for graduates of education and qualification level of Mastes, areas of study: “Ukrainian Language and Literature”, “Journalism”, “Advertising”, “Media Communication”.

After the completion of the state exams the fourth year students plan to enter the higher level of qualification.

The state certification at the Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Social Communication will last until 16 June.
