Participation in the International Conference

A lecturer and student of the Department of Professional Education, Restaurant and Tourism Business participated in the international conference of young scientists in materials science and surface engineering.
On September 24-26, 2025, the International Young Scientists Conference on Materials Science and Surface Engineering – MSSE-2025 was held at the G.V. Karpenko Institute of Physics and Mechanics of the NAS of Ukraine.
The conference was organized by the Council of Young Scientists, Specialists and Postgraduate Students of the Institute of Physics and Mechanics of the NAS of Ukraine with the support of the Institute’s Directorate, the Institute’s Trade Union Committee and the Energoresurs-Invest Corporation.
The purpose of the conference was to support young scientists, specialists and postgraduate students of the Institute of Physics and Mechanics of the NAS of Ukraine and other scientific institutions and higher education institutions in improving their professional qualifications and scientific level, as well as exchange ideas and approaches, test new scientific results, gain experience in public presentation and defense of the main provisions of scientific research.
The topics of the conference covered 4 areas:
- modern problems of materials science;
- protection of materials from corrosion;
- fracture mechanics and strength of materials;
- information and diagnostic systems.
The conference was attended by young scientists and specialists from Ukraine – Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Odesa, Chernivtsi, Lviv, etc. and from abroad, namely: Germany, Austria, Mexico, Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Belgium, Lithuania, who are engaged in research in the field of materials science, corrosion protection of materials, fracture mechanics, material diagnostics, as well as related disciplines. In total, young scientists represented more than 30 domestic and 16 foreign academic, university, research institutions and centers. 89 reports were presented at the conference, 4 plenary reports were made, and a collection of conference materials was published.
