The agenda included the question of the status and development prospects of the Institute of Continuing Education and Distance Study. Having heard and discussed the report of the Director of the Institute of Continuing Education and Distance Study V.V. Zablotskyi on this subject, the rectorate noted that the Institute provided education in magistracy in such specialties, as: “Public Management and Administration (Public Service),” “Management (Management of Educational Institution)”, “Management (Management of Social Institution). In addition the Institute completes education of specialists in the field of “Pre-school Education”, “Primary Education”, “Special Education”, “Mathematics”, “Language and Literature (English)”, “Physical Education”, “Practical Psychology”; completes retraining of specialists by request of the regional employment center.

In 2015 – 2016 academic year, the training courses were attended by 1531 teachers and civil servants, which is twice more than in 2014 – 2015 academic year.

In accordance with the schedule of the educational process for students of all levels of time and correspondence forms of training the Institute is involved in weeks of steady training, which are held in the city of Kreminna, Starobilsk and Severodonetsk.

During the year, staff of the Directorate of the Institute took an active part in career-oriented work: University open days, participation in the regional and territorial meetings on enrollment to the magistracy, professional orientation trips.

However, the rectorate mentions separate problems at the Institute to be solved:

  • expiration of the license for the retraining of specialists in relevant fields of study;
  • insufficient logistical support of educational process on specialties of magistracy;
  • the number of scientific works on specialty “Public Administration and Management.”
