Guest Lecture “Self-management: a Step for a Career”

On September 24, a guest lecture “Self-management: a Step for a Career” was held at LTSNU at the invitation of the Primary Education Department.

The guest lecture was held for students of the specialties “Primary Education” and “Preschool Education”, as well as for teachers of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology. The meeting was held by Maria BOIKO, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Primary and Preschool Education of the Volodymyr Hnatiuk Ternopil National Pedagogical University, a well-known scientist and practitioner in the field of pedagogy.

The topic of the lecture – “Self-management: a step for a career” – is especially relevant in the conditions of the modern educational space, where future specialists must not only possess professional knowledge, but also be able to organize their own time, manage resources and build an individual development trajectory.

During the speech, the following were considered in detail:

  • the formula of self-management (result – work capacity – system), which allows you to clearly understand the goals and ways to achieve them;
  • technologies of effective self-management, which include rational planning of working and free time, setting tasks and monitoring their implementation;
  • time management techniques that help to avoid procrastination and achieve productivity;
  • the philosophy of life of a modern person, which consists in a balance between professional development, personal values and harmony of the inner world.

The lecturer emphasized that the ability to manage oneself is a basic competence not only for teachers, but also for any modern specialist, because it ensures success in professional activities and promotes career growth.

The students noted the practical value of the advice, which can be applied both during training and in future pedagogical work. The lecturers emphasized that the topic of the lecture directly correlates with the formation of soft skills, which are currently highly valued in the labor market.

The event was an important event for the university community, as it allowed not only to gain new knowledge, but also inspired young people to form their own strategy for self-development and professional formation. Such meetings contribute to improving the quality of training of future teachers and create conditions for a partnership dialogue between universities in Ukraine.
