26.9.2025
An open lecture on still life was held at the Department of Fine Arts.
On September 22, an open lecture for students “Laws of Composition and Perspective in Graphic Still Life” was held by Inna Hurzhii, a senior lecturer at the Department of Fine Arts, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
The lecture was divided into three parts. In the first theoretical component, the history and essence of graphic still life as one of the genres of fine art was told using multimedia tools: examples of works by famous artists were shown, the origin of the names of this genre was explained, etc. After that, the students listened carefully to Ms. Inna, who explained in detail the process of working on a still life in the drawing technique: perspective, horizon line, chiaroscuro, and the like. The last part was the task of using the acquired knowledge in practice and trying to finish their own still life in 30 minutes based on the objects already exhibited in front of the students.
Thank you for such a detailed and very useful lecture on this topic in professional growth!
