The Fourth Day of the Small Olympic Games at the Artek

On September 18, the sports marathon continued at the Artek International Children’s Center – the fourth day of the Small Olympic Games started.

The games were organized by Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University together with the Artek MDC and the Luhansk Regional Branch of the NOC of Ukraine.

The program of this day was extremely rich and diverse. Young athletes had the opportunity to demonstrate their agility, attentiveness and willpower in both physical and intellectual competitions.

The participants tested their strength in table tennis, playing up to 11 points, two serves and up to two winning sets. Each match was held in a tense struggle, and victories were won by those who showed the greatest concentration and endurance.

Intellectual competitions – chess and checkers – were no less exciting. Young players demonstrated extraordinary ingenuity and strategic thinking, competing to two winning games. Before the start of the tournament, Ivan Zakharchuk, a national chess judge, chairman of the commission of the Chess Federation of Ukraine for work with different segments of the population, vice-president of the Chess Federation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, addressed the participants with warm words of support and guidance. His speech became an important motivation for young intellectuals.

The winners of the competition were awarded with Certificates, which became a symbol of their efforts, perseverance and thirst for victory.

The fourth day proved that the sports and creative enthusiasm of the participants does not fade away. The competition was again held at a high level, in an atmosphere of friendship, activity and true Olympic spirit.

Ahead is the final day of the Small Olympic Games, which everyone is looking forward to. After all, it will be the final chord of this bright sports holiday, which united children around sports, friendship and love for an active lifestyle.
