World Junior Powerlifting Championship

Mykola Hodunov, a 1st year student of the Institute of Health Care and Sports, majoring in Physical Education and Sports (weight category up to 105 kg, juniors), won a brilliant victory at the World Championship!

Performance results:

• Squat – 360 kg + new world record among juniors!
• Bench press – 197.5 kg
• Deadlift – 312.5 kg
• Total – 870 kg

According to the results of the competition, Mykola also became the silver medalist of the absolute championship among juniors!

Congratulations to Mykola and his coach Serhii Fedorenko on incredible achievements!

This is a real pride of the Institute of Health Care and Sports and LTSNU and a vivid example of willpower, skill and desire to win.
