Active Preparation for the New Academic Year at the Department of Finance, Accounting and Banking

Summer for teachers of the Department of Finance, Accounting and Banking of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University is not only a time of vacation, but also a period of active preparation for the new academic year.

At this time, our scientific and pedagogical staff are improving educational components, updating training materials in accordance with current labor market requirements, and strengthening ties with the professional environment.

One of the important stages of this training was the participation of teachers in the professional seminar “Credit Financing of SMEs: How to Prepare a Successful Loan Application and Obtain Financing”. The event was held with the participation of leading experts in the field of entrepreneurship and banking: Chairman of the Board of the Entrepreneurship Development Fund Andriy Gapon, and Head of the Department of Lending to Large Enterprises of JSC CB “PRIVATBANK” Nazar Koval.

As part of the seminar, Professors Viktor Trynchuk and Yurii Klapkiv, Associate Professor Volodymyr Rudoy, ​​and Senior Lecturer Iryna Zelenytsia got acquainted with modern approaches to preparing effective loan applications, the structure of financial reporting for banking analysis, as well as the criteria by which banks evaluate applications for financing of small and medium-sized businesses. Special attention was paid to the analysis of typical mistakes of entrepreneurs when submitting documents to the bank, which will allow teachers to provide students with even more applied and relevant knowledge in future studies.

The acquired knowledge and cases will become part of the educational content that is integrated into financial disciplines.

The department continues to remain open to cooperation with industry experts, because modern education is a tandem of theory and practice that forms a competitive specialist.
