International Experience from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York for Ukrainian Educators

Lecturers and students of the Department of Finance, Accounting and Banking participated in the online meeting with a representative of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York!

This event was made possible thanks to the initiative of the National Bank of Ukraine in partnership with the educational portal Talan – and truly became a powerful impetus for the development of financial education in Ukraine.

The topic of the webinar was “Financial Literacy: International Experience for Ukrainian Educators”.

The guest of the event – Graham Long, Director of Curriculum and Methodological Guidance of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, shared:

  • innovative approaches to teaching financial literacy in the USA;
  • the practices of the bank’s interaction with youth and educators;
  • the experience of training economics teachers at US universities;
  • examples of effective educational projects that can inspire Ukrainian educators.

Together with Viktoria Rolik, Head of the Financial Knowledge Center “TALAN” of the NBU, the participants immersed themselves in the world of American financial education, its challenges and opportunities for adaptation in Ukrainian realities.

For our teachers and students, this meeting became a real window into the world: current international educational practices; ideas for creating interactive classes and projects; motivation for developing our own methodological materials on financial literacy.

We sincerely thank the organizers of the event – the National Bank of Ukraine and the Talan educational portal, Ms. Victoria Rolik, as well as Mr. Graham Long for a deep and inspiring speech that inspires professional growth and the implementation of new approaches to the educational process!

Let’s learn from the best – we teach better!
