Signing of a Cooperation Agreement Between the University and Irpin Lyceum No. 3

On June 24, an important event took place in the city of Irpin — the signing of a cooperation agreement between Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University and Irpin Lyceum No. 3 of the Irpin City Council of the Kyiv Region, with the participation of representatives of the Irpin City Territorial Community.

The meeting was attended by representatives of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University:

• Vitalii Kurylo – Chairman of the Academic Council of the University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine;
• Olena Karaman – Rector of the University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine;
• Maryna Yepikhina – Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor;
• Oleksandr Dubovoi – Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Health Care and Sports, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Master of Sports of Ukraine of international class, judge of the first international category;
• Tamara Markotenko – Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Primary Education;
• Iryna Hrechyshkina – Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Early and Preschool Child Development;
• Viktor Ostretsov – Head of the Luhansk branch of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, Head of the Luhansk regional branch of the Committee for Physical Education and Sports of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

Representatives of the Irpinsk city territorial community were: 

• Yulia Ustych – Deputy Head of the Irpinsk City Council;
• Stanislav Fedorov – Director of Irpinsk Lyceum No. 3 of the Irpinsk City Council, Kyiv region.

During the meeting, Vitalii Kurylo and Olena Karaman told the participants about the activities of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, presented its development strategy, directions of educational and scientific work, features of educational programs and opportunities for applicants.

In turn, Yuliya Ustych and Stanislav Fedorov expressed interest in developing cooperation, emphasizing the importance of professional orientation of students, establishing relationships between school and higher education, as well as supporting pedagogical initiatives.

Stanislav Fedorov gave the university delegation a tour of the lyceum, familiarizing them with its material and technical base, educational environment, and features of the organization of the educational process.

The signed agreement opens up new prospects for joint activities, in particular:

• organization of informational, educational, and career guidance events for students;
• conducting internships, practices, and trainings for students and teachers;
• implementation of joint educational, scientific, and cultural projects;
• opening a university advisory center on the basis of the lyceum, which will contribute to the development of partnership between participants in the educational process.

This step is a significant contribution to building an effective partnership between a general secondary education institution and a higher education institution in the face of modern challenges.
