Pedagogy Test: Future Educators – in the Role of Teachers.
At the end of June, as part of the final certification in the academic discipline “Pedagogy”, students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, specializing in Secondary Education (Physical Education), passed an important stage of professional training – conducting a credit lesson.
This type of final control was intended not only to check theoretical knowledge in pedagogy, but also to assess the ability of students to implement it in practice: to organize a lesson, activate students, apply methods and forms of work that meet modern educational requirements.
Students acted as teachers, demonstrating:
- the ability to formulate the goal and objectives of the lesson;
- the logical structure of the lesson (motivation – explanation – consolidation – reflection);
- mastery of pedagogical methods;
- the use of visual aids;
- the ability to create a friendly and working atmosphere in the lesson.
The assessment was carried out according to the following criteria:
- pedagogical skill;
- methodological literacy;
- speech culture;
- level of communication with “students”;
- ability to introspect after the lesson.
The members of the commission noted the clear organization of the stages of the lesson, the emotional inclusion of applicants in the learning process.
Conducting the credit lesson was a bright end to studying the “Pedagogy” course, and for students – also the first professional test in the role of a future teacher.
Such practical forms of certification are extremely important, because they form confidence, pedagogical culture and readiness for real work in educational institutions.
