Seminar “Practical Fundamentals of Psychological Counseling”

From June 19 to 22, a four-day intensive seminar “Practical Fundamentals of Psychological Counseling” was held at the Psychology Department of at the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology.
The intensive seminar brought together over 40 participants from different regions of Ukraine: Lubny, Myrhorod, Odesa, Dnipro, Chornomorsk, Kyiv, etc.
The seminar was conducted by Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Psychology Lilia Chernovska, a well-known specialist in the field of counseling, psychotherapy and training of future psychologists.
Within four days, the participants deepened their knowledge and practical skills in the field of psychological counseling.
The seminar program included the following key topics: methodological foundations of providing psychological assistance; structure of consultative interaction; specifics of procedures and techniques at different stages of counseling; features of body-oriented psychotherapy; professional qualities and internal resources of a psychologist-consultant; interaction with different types of clients and overcoming resistance in the consultative process; innovative techniques of self-reflection and completion of work – in particular, neurography as a method of visualizing the psycho-emotional state.
The final day included a final control and a reflective session, which contributed to the integration of the acquired experience.
The special value of the event was created by the atmosphere of professional mutual support, exchange of experience and practical dialogue, as well as sharing sessions, where participants had the opportunity to ask personal questions, consider their own cases and receive expert opinions.
All participants noted the high level of organization, professionalism of the speaker and practical orientation of the event. The seminar became not only a source of new knowledge, but also a platform for professional growth, networking and emotional support.
