Bachelor’s Thesis Defenses

The Department of Landscape Gardening and Ecology successfully continues the defense of bachelor’s thesis defenses. 

A tense, but at the same time festive atmosphere reigns at the Department of Landscape Gardening and Ecology – the defenses of bachelor’s thesis defenses are underway! Students majoring in “Ecology”, “Forestry” and “Horticulture” present the results of their many years of work.

Under the close guidance of their scientific mentors, the students have prepared in-depth and relevant research that covers the most important challenges of today in the field of nature management and environmental protection. The topics of the works are extremely diverse and touch on sensitive issues that concern each of us.

Among the key areas of research presented at the defenses, it is worth highlighting:

• assessment of the state of the environment;
• development of measures to reduce pollution and preserve natural ecosystems;
• research into the impact of various factors on the state of forests;
• development of strategies for restoring forest cover and sustainable management of forest resources;
• analysis of forest plantations in urban environments and their impact on biodiversity conservation;
• restoration of urban landscapes suffering from anthropogenic load;
• projects aimed at improving the aesthetic and ecological condition of urban green areas, parks, squares, which are constantly experiencing pressure from human activity.

The examination committees note the high level of training of students, their independence in solving scientific problems and the ability to present research results in a reasoned manner. The members of the committee emphasized the importance of such research for the development of science and solving practical issues in the field of environmental protection.
