Luhansk Region Powerlifting Championship

Students of the Professional College of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University demonstrated excellent results at the Luhansk Region Powerlifting Championship.

The championship was dedicated to the memory of Temur Yuldashev. The competition was held in Kyiv at the ATLANT GYM sports complex and became not only an important sporting event, but also a sincere patriotic gesture that united young people, coaches and a caring community.

This championship was successful and bright for the first-year students of the Professional College majoring in”Secondary Education. Physical Culture”.  The freshmen won prizes in their weight categories:

Mykola Kobzar – silver medal in bench press (weight category up to 83 kg);

Yan Datsenko – bronze medal in classic triathlon (weight category up to 74 kg).

Oleksandr DUBOVOI, an international-class master of sports, three-time European champion, three-time world champion in team competition, Ukrainian and world record holder, international judge, candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor, director of the Educational and Research Institute of Health Care and Sports of LTSNU, became a special support for young athletes. He took young athletes under his professional wing, providing them not only with technical support, but also with real sports mentoring.

Oleksandr Dubovoi is convinced that these guys have great potential and will declare themselves more than once at sports competitions.
