The Best Occupational Health and Safety Specialist

Olha Mosina is the best occupational health and safety specialist among educators in the Luhansk region.

In accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated August 18, 2006 No. 685/2006 “On Labor Protection Day”, in order to raise awareness of the importance of compliance with labor protection legislation, to draw the attention of society, government bodies, business entities and public organizations to safety issues in the working environment, on April 21, 2025, the Main Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Luhansk region organized and held the “Best Occupational Safety Specialist” competition.

Representatives of educational institutions of Luhansk region – specialists responsible for labor protection, including those who perform these functions part-time, took part in the competition. According to the results of the evaluation, the jury recognized Olha Yosypivna MOSINA, a leading specialist in the labor protection department of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, as the winner of the competition among educators, who took 1st place, gaining the maximum number of points among all participants.

In an official letter, Deputy Head of the Main Department of the PFU in Luhansk Oblast Pavlo BARANOV expressed sincere gratitude to the rector of our university Olena KARAMAN for the university specialist’s participation in the competition and noted that the jury’s decision on Olha Yosypivna’s victory was unanimous.

Olha Yosypivna MOSINA is a high-level professional, experienced, conscientious and principled in matters of occupational safety and health. She has deep knowledge of the regulatory framework, constantly improves her qualifications, and implements advanced approaches in the field of occupational safety and health in an educational institution. Her work is aimed not only at monitoring the implementation of occupational safety requirements, but also at forming a safety culture among employees and students, preventing risks and creating a healthy educational environment.

The specialist enjoys authority among colleagues, adheres to the principles of openness, objectivity and high internal responsibility in her daily work. Her victory in the regional competition is a recognition of her personal contribution to the development of the occupational safety system in the educational environment.
