June 3, the 87th anniversary of the founding of Luhansk Region — the singing soul of Eastern Ukraine, where the steppes whisper ancient legends, and every well remembers the voices of ancestors.

This is a land warmed by the labor of miners and illuminated by the thoughts of scientists, a land where power is born from clay and coal, and inspiration from love for one’s homeland; a land of industrial power, rich history, hardworking people, a land of strength, dignity, and indomitability.

It is the land of childhood for some people; and it is a home that remains only in memories for another people. But without a doubt, Luhansk Region is a love that cannot be erased by time or war…

Thematic educational hours with students were held at the Educational and Research Institute of Natural and Agrarian Sciences, dedicated to this date, because for our institution, Luhansk Region is not just a place on the map. This is a small Motherland, a land that has raised many generations of talented, strong, courageous, true Ukrainians, it is a source of inspiration, traditions, cultural heritage, and immense strength of spirit.

Despite all the trials that have befallen the region, Luhansk region (like a heart hardened by storms, but always open to light, creativity and life) continues to fight, live and preserve its identity.

We are proud of our Luhansk region. We remember. We believe. We will win!
