Free Manuals from the Volunteer Project “How Are You, Brother?”
3.6.2025
The Veteran Development Center of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University recently replenished its resources with extremely valuable material – collections of practical manuals, which were provided free of charge thanks to the volunteer project “How are you, brother?”.
These collections for the Center were received by Anton Nazmiiev, an Assistant Professor of the Department of Psychology, Doctor of Philosophy, head of the Center for Psychological Recovery and Adaptation of LTSNU, who deals with issues of mental health and support for veterans. The received materials will become a powerful tool in daily work with servicemen, veterans, members of their families and everyone who needs support in wartime.
The project “How are you, brother?” is not just a volunteer initiative. It is a nationwide movement that has been working for over three years to strengthen ties between people, find ways to restore communication, mutual understanding and support in conditions of full-scale war. Its main goal is to collect, systematize and disseminate best practices on how to maintain relationships, restore contact and help each other in times of crisis.
The manuals printed and distributed within the project contain simple but extremely effective interaction algorithms. They are designed to be accessible to both military and civilians. The materials cover various life situations: from adaptation after combat operations to daily communication with those who have experienced traumatic experiences. The manuals are designed to teach you to hear and be heard, to provide support with words, actions, attention, and most importantly, to create a community where everyone will not be left alone with their pain or experiences.
Receiving these collections is an important contribution to the work of the Veteran Development Center of Luhansk National University, which systematically forms a socially cohesive environment where everyone can feel their value and receive comprehensive support. The team of specialists of the Center continues to develop areas of professional, social, psychological, physical education and health support and reintegration into public life of military personnel, veterans, discharged from military service, as well as family members of the fallen Defenders of Ukraine.
We sincerely thank the team of the project “How are you, brother?” for the extremely necessary initiative and the free manuals provided, which will already be useful in our work. Thanks to such efforts, we are bringing recovery closer together – not only physical, but also spiritual, communication, social. And it is in unity, in the ability to support our neighbor – our strength.
