Participation of LTSNU in the discussion of the current challenges of physical education during the war.

On May 28, a round table was held at the Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University on the topic: “Current problems of forming professional competencies of future specialists in the field of physical culture and sports in conditions of martial law”.

The event brought together representatives of leading Ukrainian higher education institutions, scientists, teachers and specialists in the field of physical culture, who jointly sought effective solutions for adapting the educational process to new realities.

Olena Otravenko, Head of the Department of Theory and Methods of Physical Education of the Educational and Research Institute of Health Care and Sports, took part in the round table. In her speech, she focused on the challenges faced by Ukrainian higher education institutions in conditions of martial law, as well as on the importance of preserving and improving the quality of professional training of students in the field of physical culture.

Olena Otravenko expressed her sincere gratitude to the organizers of the event for the opportunity to join the professional discussion, in particular, to Natalia Yuriivna Dovgan, Head of the Department of Olympic and Professional Sports, for the topical topic of the round table, the acquisition of competencies in improving educational programs of specialties A4.11 Secondary Education (Physical Culture) and A7 Physical Culture and Sports, and the prospects for the development of physical education and sports in higher education institutions.

During the event, the issues of adapting the educational process to distance and mixed formats, preserving the practical component of specialist training, as well as the prospects for the development of physical education and sports in higher education institutions in the face of modern challenges were discussed.

The round table became a platform for exchanging experience, establishing inter-university cooperation, and finding effective solutions for the further development of professional education in the field of physical culture. The participation of a representative of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University in the professional discussion confirmed the high level of the university’s scientific and pedagogical community and its active position in the formation of high-quality education capable of meeting the challenges of the time.
