Meeting with the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine in Zaporizhzhia

A meeting was held with the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine in Zaporizhzhia.

The lecturer of the Department of Olympic and Professional Sports of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports of LTSNU, Head of the Department of Youth and Sports of the Melitopol City Council of Zaporizhzhia region, Valerii HAZAIEV, as part of the delegation of the Zaporizhia region, was invited to a meeting with the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Matvii Bidnyi.

The event took place during the Minister’s working trip to the city of Zaporizhzhia. The participants of the meeting discussed key issues of the development of youth policy, physical culture and sports in the region, in particular — support of sports infrastructure, preservation and development of human resources, prospects for involving young people in an active lifestyle.

According to Matvii Bidnyi, Zaporizhzhia demonstrates a systematic approach to the development of sports, coordinated cooperation between local authorities, the sports community and the public. Such interaction is an example for other regions, especially in conditions of martial law and challenges faced by Ukrainian society.

Valerii Hazaiev’s participation in this meeting testifies to the active position of the teachers of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University in developing modern sports policy of Ukraine, strengthening ties between education, community and state authorities. His professional experience and contribution to the development of physical culture both at the university level and within local self-government is a significant example of the effective combination of science, practice and management.
