Professional Seminar

A professional seminar (pre-thesis defense) was held recently at the Department of Early and Preschool Child Development.

The professional seminar was held to identify the degree of readiness of the dissertation work of Yelyzaveta Shkarupa “Preparation of future educators for organizing group work in preschool educational institutions” for defense in the Specialized Academic Council.

During the presentation of the scientific work, the dissertation candidate demonstrated a deep understanding of the theoretical foundations of the problem, the validity of the choice of topic and its relevance for the modern system of professional training of future educators of preschool educational institutions. A clearly formulated goal and objectives of the research, the logic of scientific research, as well as the stages of the conducted experimental research were presented.

The reviewers of the work were:

‒ Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Primary Education Maria Pochinkova;
‒ Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Early and Preschool Child Development Iryna Hrechyshkina.

The reviewers emphasized the relevance of the problem under study, emphasized the theoretical significance of the work, and spoke positively about the logic of conducting the experiment. During the discussion, constructive comments and wishes were provided regarding the improvement of the structure and content of individual sections of the work, which the dissertation candidate took into account for further refinement of the dissertation text.

During the discussion, the members of the department noted the high level of scientific competence of the applicant; the relevance of the topic in the context of the modernization of the preschool education system; the scientific novelty and practical significance of the results; the quality of the dissertation design and the competent presentation of conclusions. Not only members of the department were invited to the event, but also postgraduate students of the specialty 015 Professional Education (by specialization). The work was recommended for submission to a specialized academic council for further defense.

We congratulate Yelyzaveta Shkarupa and her supervisor Svitlana Bader on this important milestone, and wish them a successful defense and further creative achievements.
