Geography Olympiad

A Student Geography Olympiad was held at the Department of Chemistry, Geography and Earth Sciences of the Institute of Natural and Agrarian Sciences.
The event was a good opportunity for young people to demonstrate their knowledge, creativity and interest in modern geographical research.
Students majoring in “Secondary Education (Geography)” and “Earth Sciences” took part in the Olympiad. The tasks covered a wide range of issues – from physical and socio-economic geography to current problems of sustainable development.
Participation in such intellectual competitions contributes to the formation of professional competencies, the development of critical thinking, skills of independent information analysis and research activities. Olympiads motivate students to delve deeper into the specialty and open up new opportunities for professional growth.
According to the results of the intellectual competition, the prizes were distributed as follows:
1st place – Serhii Riabchenko, 3rd year student majoring in Secondary Education (Geography)
2nd place – Dmytro Novikov, master’s student majoring in Secondary Education (Geography)
3rd place – Rostyslav Zagurskyi, master’s student majoring in Secondary Education (Geography).
