“Professional Training of Social Sector Specialists: Achievements, Problems, Prospects”

On May 22–23, the IV All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation “Professional Training of Social Sector Specialists: Achievements, Problems, Prospects” was held.

The event was organized by the Department of Social Work and Social Pedagogy of Khmelnytskyi National University, and one of the co-organizers was the Social Pedagogy Department of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

The main thematic areas of the conference covered a wide range of topical issues: problems and prospects for professional training of specialists in the social sphere; socio-psychological and socio-pedagogical work in the system of social services; social technologies of working with children and youth with special educational needs; creation of a barrier-free educational environment in higher education institutions; modern problems of adaptation and socialization of the individual.

Teachers of the Social Pedagogy Department, as well as bachelor’s master’s students participated in the conference in sectional meetings and master classes with the subsequent publication of abstracts.

In addition, during the plenary session, our institution was presented with a report on the topic “Professional support of social work specialists by means of supervision” by Svitlana Volodymyrivna Tuntuieva, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Social Pedagogy Department of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

Participation in the conference was a significant contribution to the development of scientific discourse on the training of social specialists, provided an opportunity to exchange experience between representatives of various educational and scientific institutions, and also contributed to the establishment of new professional contacts and partnerships for further cooperation.
