Students of the ER IHCS are European Champions

The Ukrainian national team opened the European Diving Championship with a magical performance – the first “gold” of the tournament was brought by a mixed team, which included two students of the ER IHCS – Ksenia Bailo and Sofia Lyskun!
On May 22, 2025, the competition took place in Antalya (Turkey). The mixed team event format (mixed) involves the performances of four athletes — two women and two men — in synchronized and individual springboard and platform diving. Teams from seven European countries competed in the fight for the championship.
The Ukrainian four acted confidently, harmoniously and at the highest level of skill:
- Ksenia Bailo, paired with Kirill Boliukh, performed the first jump with extraordinary accuracy, opening the score with high points.
- Sofia Lyskun and Oleksii Sereda continued their powerful performance, maintaining their lead even with a complicated technical program.
In the decisive round, it was the performance of the Bailo-Boliukh pair that provided the final advantage and lifted Ukraine to the highest step of the podium with a score of 407.20 points.
This is the second consecutive Ukrainian championship in this discipline at the European Championship – a vivid testimony of stable professionalism, strength of spirit and high quality of sports training.
