Ukrainian Weightlifting Championship

From May 19 to 24, the Ukrainian Weightlifting Championship among youth under 23 years of age is underway in the city of Lutsk.
Students majoring in “Physical Culture and Sports” of the Educational and Research Institute of Health Care and Sports of LTSNU worthily represented Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University at the national level and won significant awards!
Sofia Naumova (weight category 49 kg):
- bronze medal in the snatch – 65 kg
- clean and jerk – 74 kg
- total lift – 139 kg (4th place)
Anna Kalashnyk (weight category +87 kg):
Three gold medals:
- snatch – 93 kg
- clean and jerk – 120 kg
- total lift – 213 kg
According to the results of the competition, women’s team among youth under 23 took the third place in the team. This is another confirmation of the high level of training of our athletes and their strength of spirit.
