Online Event on Accessibility

On May 22, an online event entitled “Barrier-free access is everyone’s right” was held at the Educational and Researcu Institute of Business and Management and the Educational and Research Institute of Mathematics and Information Technologies.

The event covered information about creating a barrier-free space in Ukraine in the main areas: physical, intellectual, informational, educational, and digital.

Barrier-free is about how we see other people. Do we want to give them a chance to be equal, work, study, communicate and simply live fully. And if we start changing something around us, this is already a huge step towards a humane society without barriers.

Let each of us be the one who opens the door, not creates obstacles. Because barrier-free does not start with a ramp – it starts with the heart.

Let us remind you that from May 19 to 25, 2025, the National Barrier-Free Week will be held in Ukraine for the first time. This initiative, launched by the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications together with the Ministry of Development and the Plenipotentiary Advisor to the President of Ukraine on Barrier-Free Issues, aims to form a culture of barrier-free access in society. Accessibility is about the ability to live, study, work and travel freely without any obstacles, regardless of age, gender or health status. It is about convenience and respect for the needs of each and every person.
