Harmony of Traditions: Meeting of the Youth Club of Oriental Cultures
21.5.2025
On May 16, the Youth Club of Oriental Cultures held a meeting.
This gathering marked the final session of the 2024–2025 academic year. The event was opened by the club’s leader, Daria Perepadіa, who summarized the Club’s activities over this period.
After discussing the report and future plans, students and faculty members immersed themselves in the traditions and art of the Far East. Marina Bielik, a lecturer of the Department of Literary Studies, Oriental Philology and Translation, conducted a workshop on crafting traditional Chinese knots – symbols of harmony and fortune. Under her guidance, participants carefully intertwined threads to create intricate patterns. The lecturers explained the history of this art and its significance in Oriental culture, highlighting the many knot-tying techniques used to craft symbolic ornaments.
The meeting took place in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. After the creative session, participants enjoyed tea and lively conversation.
We are sure that such events not only deepen the understanding of Oriental traditions but also strengthen friendships among the participants.
The Youth Club of Oriental Cultures continues its activities and invites everyone interested to join upcoming events and explore the richness of Oriental heritage together.
