Presentation of Term Papers at the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology

On May 21, 2025, the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology hosted the presentation of term papers. Third-year students specializing in «Secondary Education. Language and Literature (English)» and «Secondary Education. Language and Literature (French)» presented their academic research projects – independent scholarly investigations demonstrating their level of training in their chosen field of study at the bachelor’s level of higher education, as well as their professional competencies.

The purpose of writing and defending these term papers was to assess the students’ ability to creatively apply the knowledge gained in theoretical philological disciplines and foreign language teaching methodology, as well as to defend the theoretical concepts formed based on the results of their academic observation and research. The students demonstrated their ability to solve theoretical and practical tasks and to creatively process factual material – skills that will be valuable in their future professional careers.

All presentations and reports were reviewed by the academic supervisors: Doctor of Philology, Associate Professor, Acting Head of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology, Prof. N.L. Yuhan, and Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology, L.V. Shapovalova. The works were highly praised, as all term papers were free of any remarks: the topics were fully disclosed, the papers included elements of scientific novelty, had both theoretical and practical value, and the presentations were logical and substantive. The works fully met the established academic requirements.
