Luhansk Region: Local History Exploration

On May 16, 2025, the VII All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Luhansk Region: Local History Explorations” was held in the city of Lubny.

The conference was organized by the Luhansk Regional Organization of the National Union of Local History Scholars of Ukraine on the basis of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University in cooperation with the public organization “Fund for the Restoration of the Railway Heritage of Ukraine”. The event traditionally brought together scientists, local historians, museum workers, teachers, archivists and public figures, becoming a significant event in the domestic local history movement. In 2025, for the first time after a long period of online events, the conference partially returned to a face-to-face format, which was especially noted by the participants.
