Embroidery and Education – Threads of Tradition at the Heart of the Future

The Rector of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University thanked everyone who participated in the events on the occasion of Vyshyvanka Day.

“Vyshyvanka is not just clothing. It is a symbol of our identity, spirituality, and the code of the nation. Similarly, education is a way to preserve and develop culture, traditions, and national self-awareness. Embroidered patterns are like signs on the map of generations that lead us through the centuries to the future, where dignity, memory, and knowledge are inseparable.

That is why the celebration of Vyshyvanka Day at LTSNU is not just a tradition. It is a deep manifestation of the unity of the academic community with Ukrainian roots, with the spirit of statehood and patriotism.

I sincerely thank everyone who participated in the events on the occasion of Vyshyvanka Day. I thank the teachers, students, and staff for their activity, creativity, sincerity, and love for everything Ukrainian. Every embroidery, every photo, every smile is a part of our big family. You have created an atmosphere in which tradition comes to life, is passed on and inspires.

Together we create a strong, bright Ukraine — with the memory of the past, with faith in the future.”

With gratitude and respect,
Olena Karaman, Rector of LTSNU
