Safe Road Home

As part of the Road Safety Week, the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology held an information and educational event called “Safe Road Home.”

As part of the Road Safety Week, which was held under the general theme “Road Safety in Martial Law”, Kateryna Kovalenko, an assistant professor at the Department of Primary Education of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, conducted information and educational work on the topic “Safe Road Home” with 1st year students majoring in “Primary Education”.

The purpose of the event was to increase the level of awareness of young people about the rules of safe behavior on the road, to form a responsible attitude towards life and health, both their own and other road users.

During the meeting, the basic rules of the road for pedestrians and cyclists were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the current issues of movement during martial law – in particular, actions during an air raid, the availability of shelters near travel routes, as well as the peculiarities of behavior near destroyed or dangerous sections of the road.

Presentation materials were used to better assimilate the material.

Students, who were unable to join the online meeting for valid reasons, will sent relevant materials for mandatory independent study.
