Defence of Term Papers at the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology

The Department of Romance and Germanic Philology held a defense of term papers.

Fourth-year students majoring in «Secondary Education. Language and Literature (French)» and «Secondary Education. Language and Literature (German)» 13.05.2025 presented their term papers – independent scientific research, which testified to the level of training in the chosen speciality at the bachelor’s level of higher education and the criteria for their professional competence.

The completion and defence of term papers by the students was aimed at testing their ability to creatively apply the acquired knowledge of theoretical philological disciplines, methods of teaching foreign languages, as well as to defend theoretical positions formulated on the basis of the results of scientific observation and research. The students demonstrated their ability to solve theoretical and practical problems and creatively process factual material, which will be useful in their future professional activities.

All the reports and presentations were listened to by the scientific supervisors Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Romance and Germanic Philology Department L. V. Shapovalova and Senior Lecturer O. Blednova and were highly appreciated, as all the term papers had no comments: the topics were fully disclosed; the papers contained elements of scientific novelty; they had theoretical and practical significance; the defence reports were logical, meaningful; the papers fully met the established requirements.
