Information and Educational Event

On May 9, an information and educational event was organized at LTSNU with the involvement of specialists from the Lubny District Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Poltava region.

The main goal of the meeting is to prevent unauthorized persons from entering the university territory, avoid bringing suspicious or dangerous objects, and develop safe behavior skills in the event of explosive objects being detected or emergencies occurring.

Today, new challenges are being imposed on the entire educational community of Ukraine. The educational process at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, as well as in other educational institutions of the state, is taking place under martial law. This requires special attention to security issues, prevention of potential threats, and raising awareness and responsibility of each participant in the educational process.

Specialists of the State Emergency Service provided the participants of the event with detailed information about the types of explosive objects, the algorithm of actions in case of their detection, methods of safely informing the relevant services, and the basic rules of evacuation.

Special attention was paid to practical skills in using primary fire extinguishing agents. Representatives of the State Emergency Service demonstrated how to properly use a fire extinguisher. Such practical experience is especially important, because in emergency situations, it is quick and correct actions that can save lives.

The event included not only students, but also teachers, employees and technical staff of the university. The high activity and interest of those present indicated that the topic of security is extremely relevant and requires constant attention and updating of knowledge.

Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University consistently implements measures to increase the level of protection of participants in the educational process. Such initiatives are aimed at reducing the risk of harm to the life and health of students, teaching staff and university employees, which is an absolute priority during the period of military challenges.
