Commemoration of Those Who Died in World War II

The student and teaching staff of the Professional College of LTSNU honored the memory of those who died in World War II.

On May 7, 2025, on the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism in World War II, the student and teaching staff of the Professional College of our University honored the memory of the fallen soldiers and victims of one of the bloodiest and most brutal wars in the history of mankind.

During the thematic event “DO NOT extinguish the fire of memory…”, the college students recalled the events of 1939-1945, when Ukraine became the scene of fierce fighting. About 7 million Ukrainians were mobilized into the Red Army during the war. Every second of them died, and every second of those who survived became disabled. The greed of the ambitions of the two totalitarian regimes of Germany and the USSR led to the death of tens of millions of people, the destruction of a large number of cities, villages, and occupations. Ukrainian land was one of the main theaters of military operations, a place of large-scale battles and the fiercest resistance.

80 years have passed since then, and our country and the Ukrainian people are now waging a bloody struggle against racism, which came to the world to replace fascism. Today, in conditions of aggression, the only way to restore peace is to defeat the invader. Therefore, the world community should realize that victory requires World War II. unity in the fight against the invader as 80 years ago, when dozens of countries and peoples united for the victory over fascism.
