Adviser’s Hour Dedicated to the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation
8.5.2025
On the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation, Kateryna Kovalenko, an assistant of the Primary Education Department, held an advisor’s hour with the 1st-year students majoring in Primary Education.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the significance of this date for the Ukrainian people, the importance of preserving historical memory and forming in the modern generation a sense of patriotism and respect for the heroic past.
Special attention was paid to how to reveal this topic in primary grades. Future teachers came to the conclusion that it is important to talk about peace, the value of life, kindness, mutual understanding and unity even with the youngest students, because such conversations contribute to the formation of civic consciousness from an early age and raise worthy citizens of their state.
