8.5.2025
Teachers, employees and students of the Starobilsk Professional College of LTSNU gathered for a meeting on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism in the Second World War 1939 – 1945.
The 1st–4th year students prepared a historical and musical composition “A proud word of eternal praise to you is composed by grateful generations!”. Songs and poems performed by them sounded through the frames of the war years. On the 80th anniversary of the end of the war in Europe, students considered this war with an emphasis on the role of people who fought against Nazism. In the works they read about their relatives, great gratitude and respect of the youth for the contribution of their grandfathers and great-grandfathers to the victory were felt. The participants of the meeting emphasized the important role of Ukraine as the main theater of military operations of the Soviet-German front and Ukrainians on various fronts of the Second World War, in the rear to provide the front with everything necessary. Those present condemned the Russian version of Nazism – racism, which appropriated the role of the main winner and turned the victory over Nazism into propaganda of war and its practical implementation on the territory of Ukraine.
We believe that the bitter experience of World War II and its historical lessons should help us in the fight together with the international community against Russian aggression.
