Defence of term papers in Spanish and methods of teaching it at the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology.

The defence of term papers is the culmination of the educational process, during which students present the results of their research.

On 07 May, third-and fourth-year students majoring in «Secondary Education. Language and Literature (Spanish, English)» successfully defended their term papers on Spanish language and methods of teaching it at the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology of the Educational and Research Institute of Philology and Journalism (supervisor: lecturer of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology Yevhen Kharkоvskyi). The students demonstrated a high level of academic training and practical skills in the field of Spanish literature, Spanish language theory and teaching methodology.

The students presented reports and presentations in which they highlighted the results of their research, modern pedagogical approaches and the latest teaching methods. The topics of the course projects covered a wide range of philological and methodological aspects of the Spanish language.

While working on their course projects, students received professional advice, constructive feedback and support from Yevhen Kharkоvskyi, who guided the work of the students and helped them develop their research competencies: defining research tasks, analysing literature sources, developing methodological approaches and interpreting the data obtained.

Successful completion of the course work defence demonstrates the scientific maturity and professional readiness of the students. Effective interaction between students and their supervisor emphasises the desire to improve pedagogical competences and the quality of teaching Spanish.
