Preliminary Results of the Sports Season for the Handball Players

Another sports season is coming to an end, which, despite the difficult circumstances of a large-scale war, was held at a high organizational and professional level.

We are pleased to note the significant achievements of our athletes – students and graduates of the Educational and Research Institute of Health Care and Sports of LTSNU.

In particular, Oleksii Novikov, a graduate of the master’s degree program of the ER IHCS, joined the national handball team of Ukraine, which will hold a qualifying match for Euro-2025 on May 8, 2025. We remind you that back in 2021, Oleksii became the silver medalist of the Universiade of Ukraine as part of the national team of LTSNU.

Another handball player, Dmytro Redkin, a 4th-year student, was also invited to the national team of Ukraine. This year, Dmytro is not the first time representing the country at the international level, which indicates his high level of skill and stability of results.

Maksym Radchenko, a 3rd year student, became the champion of Ukraine in handball for the second time in a row in the 2024–2025 season. His achievements this year also include the gold medal of the Ukrainian Cup. Together with Oleksandr Dovbysh, a 4th year student, Maksym represented the youth national team of Ukraine at the European Handball Championship, performing with dignity on the international stage.

All these achievements were made possible thanks to talent, hard work and faith in victory – both sports and national.

We express our sincere gratitude to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the opportunity for our athletes to participate in competitions, continue their professional development and glorify the name of the University at the all-Ukrainian and international levels.

We are proud of our handball players and wish them new victories and achievements!
