LTSNU at the Honoring of the Mothers of Heroes in Lubny

On May 2, on the eve of a touching and important holiday for every Ukrainian – Mother’s Day, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University was invited to a solemn event at the Lubny District Military Administration.

The event was organized by the Honor and Conscience Charitable Foundation, and its inspirers and hosts were the head of the foundation, Oksana KANEVSKA, and Colonel Viacheslav VASILIEV.

The event honored mothers whose sons and daughters, with weapons in their hands, defend our land, defending the independence of Ukraine. Those present received sincere words of gratitude, honorary diplomas from the National Medical Chamber of Ukraine and thanks from the Honor and Conscience Charitable Foundation. Among the awardees were representatives of the Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University: the Primary Trade Union Organization, directors of structural units, institute teams, educators and students who are actively involved in the volunteer movement and assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The award of the mother-employee of LTSNU, whose son is currently serving in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was especially touching.

The event was decorated with the presentation of gifts to university students by the chaplain of the “Ark” church, Ihor Fen, as a sincere sign of gratitude for their active participation in volunteer work.

The head of the Primary Trade Union Organization, Volodymyr MOROZ, expressed gratitude to the organizers of the celebrations on behalf of the entire staff of LTSNU for the high honor and attention to the work and efforts of the university community, assuring that the educational institution will continue to combine educational and civic activities, contributing to the Victory and educating the new generation in the spirit of love for Ukraine.

This event is not just an award ceremony, but a real celebration of gratitude, memory and support, which reminds everyone: the strength of our nation is in the hearts of its mothers, in the unity of generations, in faith in victory.
