In Memory of Hennadii Bozhko
5.5.2025
On May 4, we remember Hennadii Ivanovych Bozhko with special warmth and gratitude.
He could be 77 years old…
This name is well known to several generations of teachers, students, and graduates. Hennadii Ivanovych was a Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor, long-time head of the Faculty of Primary School Teacher Training, and later the first director of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of our university. A person who not only cared about the development of the institute, he created a community, traditions, an atmosphere of trust, and inspiration.
When he headed the faculty in 1990, training was conducted in only one specialty. But Hennadii Ivanovych believed in the need for change and boldly opened new horizons. Under his leadership, new directions grew, new teams were formed, and our institute was born as we know it today — strong, professional, and alive.
Hennadii Ivanovych was an extraordinary person — with a deep heart, a clear mind, and an amazing ability to unite people. He believed in each of us. He trusted, supported, inspired. And that is why most of us remember him not only as a leader, but as the one who handed out the first diploma, said an important word, helped us believe in ourselves.
His wisdom, warmth, friendly smile and sincere gaze remain with us.
Bright memory to you, Hennadii Ivanovych …
You are forever in the heart of the Institute. And in our hearts.
