12th Edition of the All-Ukrainian Webinar “Modern Trends in Social Work”

On April 29, the Social Pedagogy Department of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University continued the work of the All-Ukrainian Webinar “Modern Trends in Social Work”.

The speaker of the twelfth edition for the second time was Ruslan HORCHYNSKYI, a postgraduate student majoring in 231 “Social Work” of the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University, a methodologist at the Kyiv City Center of Social Services, a trainer at the National Training Center for the Prevention and Counteraction to Gender-Based Violence of the Higher School of Public Administration.

In modern conditions, when the number of cases of violations of children’s rights is increasing, the issue of identifying and preventing domestic violence is particularly relevant. The professional community is faced with the need not only for early recognition of such situations, but also for established interagency cooperation. That is why the topic of this meeting was chosen as “Domestic Violence Against Children: Identification, Response, Interaction of Subjects”.

The event aroused great interest, and was attended by 148 participants – scientists, social workers, educators and students who seek to better understand modern challenges in the field of protecting children from violence and effective methods of identification, response and interaction of subjects.
Our students of the first (bachelor’s), second (master’s) levels of higher education majoring in”Social Work. Social Pedagogy, Practical Psychology”, as well as students of the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education majoring in “Social Work” took part in the event.

The All-Ukrainian webinar “Modern Trends in Social Work” will continue the series of professional meetings in the future, uniting the scientific community and practitioners to effectively respond to modern social challenges.
