From April 25 to 27, the Ukrainian U-20 Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship was held in Ternopil, which became a qualifying stage for the U-20 European Championship.
The European Championship will be held on June 29 in Italy, where the strongest young wrestlers of the continent will compete.
Our athletes once again confirmed the high level of training, demonstrating technical, powerful and spectacular wrestling:
- 1st place in the 67 kg weight category – Vladislav Pokotilo, 1st year student majoring in A7 “Physical Culture and Sports”
- 3rd place in the 67 kg weight category – Maksym Skrypnyk, 1st year student majoring in A7 “Physical Culture and Sports”
- 3rd place in the 130 kg weight category – Anton Petryna, 2nd year student majoring in A7 “Physical Culture and Sports”.
We sincerely thank the coaches for their professionalism, patience and faith in their students! It is your hard work that is the key to the sporting achievements of our students.
We express our gratitude to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, thanks to which we have the opportunity to train, compete and win in the Ukrainian and international arenas.
We wish our athletes further success, good health and a worthy performance at the European Championship! Forward to new victories!
